Hikvision - Desktop application

Hikvision IVMS-4200 | Desktop Application

This guide is for XONE Customers with Hikvision Surveillance Systems, for any inquiries about passwords or setup, please Submit a Ticket

1. To get started with IVMS, head over to IVMS-4200 Download to get the software

2. You should see the Hikvision IVMS-4200 Software start to download, once downloaded, click the icon to run the program.



3. Make Sure to Select Yes if Prompted

4. In the Installation Wizard, Select "Install"



5. Select "I agree to the terms in the License Agreement" and then Select "Next"



6. The software will now install, please be patient while it installs.



7. Once installed, the program will come up with "Installation completed" Select "Finish" to open IVMS-4200



8. The IVMS-4200 Client will now start to open, please be patient while it opens.



9. Select "Enable"



10. Once on the Main Screen, you will need to setup a username and password to setup your application
This is NOT the same username and password that you use for your cameras, this is only required to open the app
11. After you have entered the username and password, select the "Log In" button



12. Create security questions for your account by clicking the "Please select the question." Drop down menus. Once done select the "Log In" Button.



13. Now you will be presented with Home screen of IVMS-4200



14. To Setup your cameras, select "Device Management" on the right hand side.



15. On the Device Management Page, select the "+ Add" Button



16. On the next page, fill out the following details

Adding Mode: IP/Domain
Add Offline Device: Unchecked
Name: The name you would like to call your camera system
Address: Provided to you in your secure data
TLS: Unchecked
Port: 8000
Username: Provided to you in your secure data
Password: Provided to you in your secure data
Synchronize Time: Unchecked
Import to Group: Checked

Select the Add Button



17. Select the Menu Icon



18. Select "Main View" 



19. Select the "Play" button next to the Name of your cameras



20. You will now see all your cameras displayed on screen
